Yes that’s right everyone – we went caving in Mendips!! And I have to admit that I really enjoyed this trip! Having only ever ventured down Eastwater, Swildons and GB, Rob decided to take us down one of Mendip’s finer caves and we had a lovely damp trip considering the aftermath of the floods down this way. It really has been sometime since we’ve been through small, wet holes and it was very sporting.

It was a fairly short trip exploring the system and then we headed back to the Hunters for some cauliflower cheese, yummy cider and lots of happy ranting with friends. I could get used to the Mendipian ways….

Quote of the day from Rob “Mendip is the premier caving location in Mendip”.
