Cheminee – Vercor

Situated about 1km back up the road from the Gour Fumant, the Cheminee is unashamedly a kids cave. A pleasant 10 minutes stroll through the woods led to a massive hole in the ground some 20m across, spanned by a rock bridge that provided access to the cave. A simple dry descent walking over boulders past some large stal led to a depth of ?90m and a few gour pools about 10m across. There were plenty of pretties to ogle including a nest of cave pearls. A very relaxed trip needing nothing more than a head torch.
