Scialet Vincens – Vercor

Scialet Vincens – Vercor
Thursday, 2 August 2007

A delightful 1 hour drive (white knuckle rally experience) across the Vercor plateaux to park about 20 minutes from the entrance. This sporting trip some ‘403m deep had been bottomed by a crack NPC team the day before but they had only de-rigged the bottom half. This is a largely vertical trip with a few constrictions especially in the lower reaches. Today was a relatively easy trip to ‘200m to de-rig and was most enjoyable. The pitch head of the p38 is quite challenging and caused a certain amount of invective from Donald who learnt a valuable lesson about taking off ones chest jammer when prussicking up tight rifts.
