Newby Moss Pot

Newby Moss Pot

Really pleasant re-introduction to Yorkshire potholing after the BU56 trip. Met Tom in Ingleton at around 5pm for the obligitory chips before heading to Newby Moss. Underground at around 6.45pm and steady progress made down this really fun little cave with some pleasant sections of streamway, short climbs, a few short pitches, some decorated bits and a really foul-smelling pool of something really, really nasty!!! Soon reached the bottom, then headed out meeting si, caroline and holly at the first pitch. Tom and I reached the surface at around 8.45pm, headed off the fell, then I waited for the others to emerge and grab the ropes before heading back to Horton.

Really good choice for an evening trip!
