Valley entrance – Rowten

Proved that you can freedive sumps on friday 13th….and survive! 🙂

Short evening trip down valley entrance and through the rowten sumps. Aim was to scare an ULSA group who were going down Rowten. Water levels just a tad above normal, with the first sump (going upstream) having no airspace. After waiting around for best part of an hour (in which time I, very artistically, formed my name out of pebbles at the base of the last pitch) i decided to head out. Reached the surface around 7pm to find cars still there, so headed to Helwith for beer and to await their arrival.

Fun little trip!
